So, bung on a West Country or Dorrrrrrrrrzetshurrrrrrrrrrrrrr accent,
put a parrot on your shoulder--( consult an old Robert Newton movie,
like Blackbeard the Pirate, or Treasure Island for inspiration)--
stick an earring in your ear, and cast off!!!

John and I got an early start (sans parrot). His "step-nephew" (for lack of
a better term) from his previous relationship is actor Peter Sarsgaard and
we were talking about him last weekend. Just saying his surname is enough
to make you fall into talking like a pirate! When he hosted Saturday Night
Live a few months back, they did a skit where he was talking about his
latest film but the audience was filled with pirates. All they wanted to do
was say "SAAARRRRSSSGAAARRRD, ARRRR!" It was pretty funny :)

BTW, This happens to be my brother's birthday. A couple of years ago,
I called him on his birthday, and my SIL answered. I said to her,
"Did you know that it's also Talk Like a Pirate Day?"

She said, "Do me a favor, PLEASE don't tell him." LOL!
