Sam...
We've had an increase in the spats between Smokey and Mistletoe. It
used to be one every 3-4 weeks and now is increasing to once per week or
so. As yet, there's been no blood drawn, but when they get into it, it
sounds like mortal combat with the winner about to dine on the loser's
innards.

I can't tell if Smokey (17YO) or Missy (7YO) starts it. It doesn't seem
to be food related as Missy rarely finishes her food and doesn't seem to
mind Smokey finishing it for her.

The kids have been together for 6+ years with both sharing "you leave me
alone and I'll do the same for you" attitude. However, in the last few
months, the spats are becoming more frequent.

I'm thinking about a Feliway diffuser as some here have reported much
success with them. However, I'm open to other ideas that you folks have

Well, that's what i was going to suggest. Also, maybe Smokey needs some
"me" time. Could you set up a room with all the accoutraments and toys,
window etc. and just let them have some vacation time from each other?
Also, sometimes adding a couple of tall trees helps because it adds
territory and "safe" places?

Sam...
They don't spend much time together. On occasion, one will *demand* the
cat tree occupied by the other and will use the nastiest language to one
another but mostly it's mutual ignoration.
