Steve Touchstone...
My all time favorite game has always been 'fetch the bottle cap'. Last
night, when the hoomin sat down, I politely asked the hoomin for a
game.

Hoomin Note: this means Sammy brought over a cap, dropped it on my
foot, reached up and wrapped her arms around my arm until I stopped
what I was doing.

S: Yeah, as I was saying, I politely invited the hoomin to play.
After checking the playing field (he always has to check to make sure
Mama Little Bit isn't napping in the impact zone - she gets quite of
put out if the cap lands near her, and REALLY huffy if I run over her
chasing a cap. Anyway, the impact area was clear so the game was on.

Now, I know the hoomin has already told you all about how Spotty has
been interferring with our fetch games. After a couple throws I
noticed that the dimwitted spotted one was getting interested, sitting
right next to the path I had to take.

At first I was going to ignore her, but then I started remembering all
the times she messed up our games. So, the next time I took out after
the cap, I detoured a little and jumped right over the little sh!t,
thinking she might take get the hint and stay out of the way. But,
NOOO, on my way back I found that she was even closer to the route I
was taking.

Well, I decided enough was enough, so I stopped, bopped her a couple
upside the head and chased her into the kitchen. Once she was out of
the way, I trotted back to the hoomin and dropped the cap on the
hoomin's foot.

'nother hoomin note: What made this episode so funny was that Sammy
didn't drop the cap the whole time she was bopping and chasing Spotty.

Sammy: You'd might think the spoilsport would learn, but noooo, this
morning she was right back at it again. In fact she stole the cap
after the first throw and started playing hockey with it. Like I said,
the spotted one's a dimwit.
