Thanks, Marina. No sign of her as of this morning. I was really hoping
that she would come back today, if she was stuck in someone's garage over
the weekend while they were out of town or something.

I just read this too Joyce. Ours strongest homing purrs are being sent
Smudge's way. I know how terrible it feels when they are missing.

Tonight I got home, and nobody came running up to me when I got out
of my car, meowing at me and rolling around on the sidewalk. :( So I
went inside and rode the wave of disappointment and depression. I don't
know how many days I can keep hoping - I know it would be easier if I
knew, one way or another. But the fact is, I might never know.

What really got to me tonight was, first I said hi to Roxy. Then I looked
over at Licky and started toward him. He looked like he was going to
bolt, so I said, "It's OK, Licky!" But he bolted anyway. And that made
me remember how Smudge could be visibly comforted whenever I said, "It's
OK, Smudgie" - she would quite dramatically relax. And then I went into
my room, laid down and had a good cry.

What if I never see her again???

This is so sad! I'm so sad for you and Smudge, and am not sure what

Keep your prayers going, It was a long, long time ago, but our "Ginger"
was gone for 3 weeks before he decided to come home.Best wishes. MLB
