OT pregnant purrs please

My daughter has a tentative diagnosis of gestational diabetes and anemia.
She will have more tests done next week for the diabetes. She is due in
September.

Purrs, of course, for a healthy daughter, healthy baby, and a delivery
without complications.

I know this is not terribly uncommon, but it is worrisome nevertheless. She
miscarried early in her first pregnancy (not related to this issue).
According to the ultrasounds, this baby is developing on schedule and is
perfectly healthy. My daughter is seeing a doctor who specializes in higher
than normal risk pregnancies. So, chances are good that everything will be
O.K.
But, I know she and her husband are concerned and I certainly am, too.
Any positive vibrations for a good outcome will be most appreciated.

Positive vibrations coming over the pond. From articles I have read - I
have no personal experience of it - I understand that extra monitoring is
required as the baby can get very large (all that sugar I suppose!) and that
the diabetes only lasts for the duration of the pregnancy. Like you say, it
isn't uncommon.
It's good that she's got a tentative diagnosis already as she will be sure
to be extra-well monitored now. Try not to worry too much, Annie, good
outcomes are the norm.
