Karen AKA Kajikit...
It was on sale before Christmas so I bought the girls three small cans
of it for their stocking. I gave them 'chicken liver pate' yesterday
and 'seafood' today, and both were scarfed down in double quick time.
:) Judging by their reactions to it, it's Gourmet - they liked it even
better than the fresh turkey and ham they got on Christmas Eve and
Christmas Day!

Has anyone used this canned food on a regular basis? They liked it so
much that I'm thinking of buying them more instead of their Science
Diet. These cans seem to have less byproducts and fillers in them, and
more actual meat, but they're priced accordingly...

My cats didn't like it, but I think that's because of the texture. They
don't like any pate type catfood. Your kitties eat dry Science Diet,
right? Some canned food would probably be good for them. I feed both
dry & canned.

Have you tried the new Sheba in the tiny little 3-oz round tins? O. My.
Gosh. I picked up 4 for Christmas. They *scarfed* it. Unfortunately for
them I'm not starting them on another habit--it's $1.19 a can. I doubt
it's healthy anyway--they liked it too much!

The chicken was the whitest, purest-looking, best smelling cat food
I've ever seen.

The girls all refuse to eat canned food if it's in chunks - they much
prefer the pate ones (If you give them the stuff in gravy they lap up
the gravy and leave the chunks sitting in the bowl!) They have a
feeder full of science diet kibble to eat whenever they want, and they
get a small serve of canned food at dinner time. (funnily enough, when
they were younger we tried them on science diet canned food and they
refused to touch it - but once they saw Tessie scarfing it down they
decided that it must be edible after all, and now they all think it's
Good Stuff!) They usually get SD indoor or hairball control food but
they'll apparantly eat almost anything in a can as long as it's mushy.
:P

My cats on Maui liked the Pate kind, too, but my pack here in Florida prefer
chunky food. Thank goodness that they all eat the chunky *and* the same
flavor!
