Mischief...
Yesterday i found out that i was going to have to move out

Monique Y. Mudama...
Oh no!

Not only did my hours get cut back at work, but now its possible that i
might have to find another job.

polonca12000...

Lots of purrs and best wishes that you get an apartment you can afford
and a great new job,
Polonca and Soncek

Apparently Dr. G is concerned with my progress. People have told me
that i'm too intense at times. I feed off the energy of other people
and situations. but sometimes it gets away from me. I've been
countlessly told many times to "relax" and me being extremely
frustrated to the point of tears because i couldn't see how i could fix

Monique Y. Mudama...
Ugh. "Relax." Sounds like my parents, who like to say "You're being
too sensitive." Yuck.

Maybe you can find a vet clinic better suited for you.

it.

And now i'm being told it again. I was hired in may and the middle of
august will mark my 90 probation. And the doctor told me, "Honestly
i'm not sure."

Now i've told you he's QUIRKY and though i was sobbing about it
earlier, I've realized that he himself isn't the greatest doctor to
work with either. I'm always so paranoid about making a mistake around
him. And i've always tried to work hard and show him that i am a good
technician. He says i make him nervous, well dammit HE makes me
nervous. And come friday i'm going to tell him. It might be a good
thing if i left, especially if staying is just going to make me
nervous. I need a doctor who recognizes my skills though i don't know
everything, and is willing to work with me to become a better person
and technician. But regardless of that fact, this couldn't have come
at a worse time.

earlier I was crying on the way home and i was on the phone sobbing
saying "I don't know what to do...." over and over again.

I need to find another place to live and my job isn't secure.

Takayuki...
Purrs that things work out for you. I can tell that you are intense.
Intense enough even for your work and your passions to spill over
here, to the benefit of us Journal and Mouser readers. :)

I'm better now. I'm just trying to relax tonight and try to come to
grips with things. I have the next three days off so that will give me
some time to think and make some decisions.

I'm praying that s*** doesn't come in threes

Matthew...
Kristi I am sending you one really big hug and a whole lot of purrs also

Karen...
I'm so sorry Kristi. YOu know it might be a good thing to tell him that
you are nervous around him and why and ask him why he is nervous around
you. That might go a long way to loosening things up. that's happened
with me before and been helpful. Just talk to him like another person
and ask him what he looks for in a technician. It takes a while to
relax in a new position. hang in there.

Hi Kristi,

Are there any small vet clinics in your area, preferably a one- or
two-person clinic? Sometimes the atmosphere in such a clinic is more
friendly and person-oriented. I don't mean that there would be less work.
In fact, the actual workload could be greater because there are only a
couple of people to share the load, but I have noticed a better, more caring
attitude in some of those organizations. You might need to broaden your
horizons and look at more distant places, especially since it seems that you
will be looking for another place to live anyway. I don't mean that you
need to move across the country -- sometimes it's a matter of moving just a
few miles. I don't know where you live, but you could check cost-of-living
compared to salaries, too. The salary you listed is extremely low for a vet
tech (in my opinion), and it would simply add to your frustration to know
that you are well trained, work hard, and yet underpaid. Finally, try to
avoid taking on the burdens of your employer. That's easier said than done,
but it isn't your responsibility to shoulder organizational
responsibilities. That's especially true when you're rhe "new person on
board."
