I really should pay more attention when I walk past a mirror, I
suppose.
Last week, I was waking up to the alarm clock. It was early, Little
Boy was on the dresser, standing on the clock radio, trying to look
through the drapes.
It was not, in fact, time to wake up. Little Boy had just managed to
step on the button that turns on the radio. Heavy sigh...
So I reach up to turn off the radio. I then reach up to pick up Little
Boy, so I can bring him down to my level for a little preemptive
cuddling, in the hopes that he will stay away from the radio.
Now, I keep a water bottle on the edge of the dresser, near the clock
radio, in case I get thirsty at night. Mostly I don't, so the water
bottle (about a 20 ounce size) is usually full.
At my first touch, Little Boy reached out for the water bottle and
pushed it off the dresser. It hit me in the face. But I'm sleepy, and
it doesn't phase me. I grab Little boy, we cuddle, and I go back to
sleep with my kitty bear until the alarm goes off at the right time.

Nocturne has been known to push over the bedside lamp onto our heads if
we don't wake up in time to suit her.

My cat will jump on me from the top of the dresser. Ooof!

Apparently Little Boy has taken lessons from Nox...

I've finished showering, combing my hair, all the things you usually
do to get jump-started in the morning, and walk into the bedroom,
where Senyah is getting dressed.
Senyah looks at me and asks, "Where did you get the black eye?"
I go back to the mirror, and sure enough, my left eye is starting to
purple up a little. I guess Little Boy really didn't want to be
removed from the window...
Fortunately, the bruise went away after a couple of days - well before
my next job interview.

*snicker* That'll teach you to take a kitty away from his window!!
I once went to a job interview with a broken toe. It was *impossible*
to get a shoe on over the toe, so I had to wear sneakers. Fortunately,
it was only an interview with a temp agency, and they were very
understanding about it. They gave me several jobs.

Ahh! Ok, you're a hard sleeper to sleep through that! Years ago,
when I had only ONE cat, I was running to answer the phone because
I was expecting the call (pre-cordless phone, so couldn't put it
next to where I was) and kitty picked that time to weave between my
legs, and I tripped over him and went face first into the coffee
table. Broken front tooth, and a hole in my lip. That was my worst
injury from a loving cat. LOL
Good luck on the interview, or if it's already past, best wishes to
get the job.
