Monique Y. Mudama...
I noticed a pee smell in the bathroom last night, but couldn't figure
out where it was coming from; figured it was the litterbox.

Just now I noticed that Oscar had apparently peed on the paper towels
I'd put out around the litterbox.

Hrm.

During tomorrow's appt, I'll definitely ask them to do some UTI
testing.

Winnie...

sriddles...
I've actually wondered about this, Winnie. When I had Cherokee, he
needed a little "help" after he got old. Baby wipes would be very mild
to the skin, I agree. But babies don't lick their butts after being
cleaned. It made me wonder if what's in baby wipes would hurt a cat if
they ingested it. So I just kept either buying cat-wipes or using wet
"shop towels." They are just really thick paper towels.
Does anybody know anything about this?

Monique Y. Mudama...
I distinctly remember reading (maybe in h+b?) that baby wipes have
some ingredient that can be toxic to cats. It's the prototypical
"just because it's safe for humans ..." example.
Oscar may be just upset about the discruption of her routines. But it
is a good idea to have
it checked out.
