The DaVinci Code... I read the book, gonna see the film when I'm working
with John. I am a total Tom Hanks fan. Can't wait to see him in this.
I don't think there is a cat in this movie. (sigh)

Was there a cat in the book? I don't remember one.

No, no cats but but lots of paintings (LLL will love that it was filmed in
the Lourve)... took them a year of negotiation to get permission to film in
there.
One day I hope to visit.

Oh, and he adopted another dog named Twig. Short aired, long squat body but
short legs. Red hair.

That never dawned on me with all the "controversy" over the novel.
(Cripes, I can't understand so many learned types who don't understand the
work novel)
I usually skip movies because of my hearing. But if they were able to film
in the Louvre, I have to see it on the big screen.

Ron Howard (the director) was on The Tonight Show the other night and talked
about how intense the negotiations were to get permission to film in the
Lourvre. One can only imagine the security that had to be dealt with!

Going to France is one dream I'm unlikely to realize at this point, as well
as my lifetime wish to visit the Hermitage in St. Petersburg.

You must see the movie "Russian Ark" if you're interested in the
Hermitage. The entire movie is filmed inside of it. I actually found
it a bit boring, and I have no idea what it was supposed to be about.
Not even the Russian friends I went with could figure that out. :)
But it was interesting to look at, that's for sure. Plus, if you like
cinematic gimmicks, one interesting thing about this movie is that the
entire film - feature length - was shot in one *single* take. No edits
or cuts whatsoever.

Who adopted another dog? Tom Hanks? John? Inquiring minds...

Jo, you might be able to visit the Hermitage in Nashville ;)

That looks like fun. But given I grew up in Maryland, I've pretty much had
my fill of that era.
But I'd probably sell my soul and hock the family silver to be healthy
enough to visit the other one. I know myself and I don't travel well.
Sadly I inherited my family wanderlust but not their health.

John adopted another dog. He has two cats and now three dogs. I don't know
if Tom Hanks has any pets ;)

He had a pet in Turner and Hooch, that still makes me laugh.
