Mischief...
Mayhem: Sniff......sniff.....mmmm, what is that interesting odor?

Mischief: Sniff.....ooooooooooo!!!!! THAT is the odor of a delicious
dish called SALMON!!

Mayhem: Salmon?

Mischief: Yes, Salmon, its a very delicious kind of fish.

Mayhem: Ooooo, fish. I like fish.

Mischief: I called first dibs!! (drooling) Mmmmmmmm, salmon...

(I walk in and sit down with my salmon)

Mischief: SALMON!!! GIMMEGIMMEGIMME!!!!!

Mayhem: Um, That smells REALLY REALLY good. Can I have a taste? Come
on, can I? Please?

Me: Ok okok, here's a tiny morsel. This is ALL you're gonna get.

Mischief: (slurping) Yummyyummy!!! Can I get some more....HEY!!!
Don't kick me off the desk!! No Fair!!

Mayhem: (sniffing) Hmm.... um, I'm not so sure anymore. Nah, I'm not
interested (walks away)

Mischief: Mmmmm, don't mind if i do! (slurps up remaining piece)

Hoomin Note: Mischief seems like the only ont that LOVES salmon, but I
rarely give it to her. Cause the one time i gave her a portion she
make a very SMELLY deposit in the litter box. So if she really begs,
I'll give her just a TINY piece, that's IT. But I have to keep an eye
on my dish in case she tries to sneak in for another taste.

I actually attempted to give my three monsters salmon *one* time. They
completely turned up their noses. I figured that was the last time I waste
good fish on those finicky critters!

sriddles...
Opening a can of salmon here is a real event. Cats appear out of
nowhere and start climbing up my legs. I always painstaikingly pick out
the bones and that yukky black stuff (yes, I know that's where the
antioxidants are, but I do it anyway)....and give them a little of the
liquid poured off. I don't think there's any human food they like
better.

That's definitely true around here. When I have dinner, I sit on the
floor and use the coffee table as a dinner table. If salmon's on the
menu, Roxy will get on the couch behind me, step on my shoulder with
one paw, and shove her face in right next to my ear, sniffing very
loudly. It's cute, but makes it hard to eat! So I usually give her a
few pieces. I have to suck on each piece first to get rid of the
vinegar and spices I cooked the fish in (that also cools it down a
bit), before giving it to her, so it's kind of an involved process.
But fortunately, she's usually satisfied after 3 or 4 pieces, and then
I can have the rest of my meal in peace.

Put some baking soda in the litter box and give her another taste. MLB
