I think I need to get Oscar ...

Monique Y. Mudama...
The Take Five tower from Drs. Foster & Smith.

Now I just need to figure out where it goes (in the bedroom,
somewhere) and how to convince DH.

Ack! Oscar is clawing at the back screen door! I've never seen her
do that before. Bad Oscar!

Winnie...
Rusty is green with envy, and waiting for an invite to come for a
visit.

Monique Y. Mudama...
If he's waiting for an invite from antisocial Oscar, he might have to
wait a while. Like, forever. You of course are welcome to come visit
us anytime =)

Winnie...
Thanks! How far are you from Golden. I may go visit my college
room-mate who now lives
there.

Anyway, with all the money sunk into vet bills recently, the tower
will have to wait. It's not like she'll miss it, since she didn't
even know it was being planned.

Winnie...
I know what you mean. Rusty hardly get toys or nice stuff any more
since I have to save money for any potential big vet bills. This year
we've been to the vet almost every month.

jmcquown...
They used to have some really funky cat trees in that catalog. How do you

jmcquown...
the one with the palm

explain to your friends and family the one with the palm trees and a
hammock? Or the one that looked like a castle, ramparts and all? LOL I
see they don't carry those anymore. They really wouldn't fit in with
anyone's decore unless you had a dedicated cat room.

Monique Y. Mudama...
What's this explaining business? My friends already think whatever
they're going to think of me. My parents already think I never grew
up because, gasp, sometimes there's stuff on the floor or the dishes
don't get washed right away. *rolls eyes*.

But frankly, having a cat tower that looks like a castle etc. doesn't
really appeal to me ... I figure that all of that styling does nothing
to increase a tower's appeal to a cat. That's just money spent on
appealing to hoomins that could better be spent on more cat-friendly
features.

jmcquown...
I totally agree, and that's probably why they don't sell them anymore. The
cat couldn't care less what it looks like as long as it's climbable and
comfy.

Oscar will love that cat tree!

Monique Y. Mudama...
Only if I buy it! Like I said, need to discuss with DH and find a
spot.

jmcquown...
I'm sure you'll find a spot :)

jmcquown...
Of course, for this Kitty City, you have to have $500 to spare... LOL

Karen AKA Kajikit...
Wow, that really WOULD be 'furnishing for the cats'... our three seem
to be generally content with the windowsills and the backs of the
couch and the chairs and the dressers and anywhere else they can find
to perch... Tessie's the only one who likes to sleep on the cat tree -
she'll run up to the top tier and curl up there for a bit of peace and
quiet...

Monique Y. Mudama...
I've often gazed longingly at that one, but it seems like it would be
wasted on just one cat.

mlbriggs...
Perhaps she just wants to come in. MLB

Monique Y. Mudama...
She was on the inside ...

Marina...
Wow. That looks pretty luxurious. And fun.

Monique Y. Mudama...
To me, it mostly looks tall. I got Oscar the Watchtower a couple of
years ago, and she loves it.

I would love to get her one of the trees they have that pushes against
the ceiling, but I envision the next one going in the bedroom, and our
bedroom has very high, angled ceilings.

Well, as I said, I need to convince DH first.
