While I was away on my trip earlier this month, when I came to pick up
Persia and Peaches from being boarded they brought out Peaches the lovebird
first because it's easier for me to put her cage in the back seat of my
2-door car and she doesn't freak out but rather looks upon it as an
adventure.
When the tech brought Persia out in her carrier, she told me when she was
cleaning the cages in the cat room Persia would immediately jump into the
carrier. The tech thinks she loves her carrier. Heh. She does not, but
perhaps she thought she was going home, which made me feel a little sad.
BUT... she said one time she was letting Persia roam around while she was
cleaning the kennels and she opened the door and Persia ran straight for the
grooming room where Peaches was and she leaned up and wanted to see Peaches.
AWWWW! She heard her chirping and I can only guess she wanted to make sure
she wasn't the only one trapped in "vet-hell"; Peaches was there with her!
LOL She was led back to her kennel in the cat room but I'm glad she got to
see, yes, the birdie was there too!

That is so sweet! I did not realize Persia so attached to Peaches. Too
bad they couldn't be housed together to comfort each other.

I didn't realize it, either. At home Persia ignores Peaches unless I pay
too much attention to her. But now that I think about it, when she's
lounging on the floor she's usually next to or very near Peaches' cage when
she's not right next to me.

That's because, as Weebs says, "My Preshus Persia is just waiting for dat
dum bird to fly into her mouf!!!"
