NMR...
Everyone knows that men are creatures of habit and we have no romantic sense
an any part of our body when we are growing up. It takes a good better half
drilling into our heads for us to do it right. I do something special every
year for my better half. I try an top the year before. It gets really
hard sometimes. Tell me what you think tell if you think I am doing good

idontmind...
You don't need any help, Dude. You had me at the breakfast. :)

Our plans got trashed due to illness and a turn of cold weather. We
may rechedule for two weeks from now. I did make Valentine cookies,
though, and DH will take some to work. :) DS colored a very cute
Valentine for his Daddy.

Enfilade...
I get to spend the day alone since Dylan is working call shift in the
hospital all day. I expect him home around 6 pm, having worked for 34
hours. I am putting him to bed, and we will have shrimp ring and wine
tomorrow.

jXwXeXrXmXoXnXt...
Until I got to the wine, I wasn't sure who that valentine meal was
going to be for. :)

Enfilade...
Oh make no mistake, Tyche would /adore/ some wine...she had her face in
a beerglass yesterday, and sampled Dylan's coffee on the weekend. I
don't think any of ours have much liking for shrimp, though. Kumani

jXwXeXrXmXoXnXt...
Likes wine... doesn't like shrimp. Are you sure Tyche is a cat? :)

and Nox demand crunchy things like chips, and Smokey's tastes run
towards cheese and ham.

Christina Websell...
Fantastic! I like it because you covered all day to make it great for your
lady. If you ever have a vacancy..
(just joking)

Valentines Day breakfast
Swedish Country Style Scrambled Eggs
Swedish Sausage Potato Cakes
Cinnamon Buttermilk Waffles with fresh strawberries ( which
are in season) and blue berries
Cinnamon Fritters

After a wholesome hand prepared breakfast for the both of us. I am taking
her window shopping in Mt. Dora it is a small town the specializes in being
country friendly filled with quaint little old style shops. We will need to
work that breakfast off.

We are going to have a light lunch picnic with some of our other couple
friends on the towns antique railroad that takes you out sight seeing around
a huge lake thru historic areas.

Lunch will be Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps
Creamy cucumber salad
Bruschetta using Spanish red onions and fresh basil
on baguette bread
Rolled Chicken & Mushroom Omelette sliced up and
made into finger food
Heart shaped Cherry Jell-O cake with cool whip
topping

From there us guys are going to go and disappear and leave the other half's
together to do a scavenger hunt. We have a chauffeured vehicle it will take
them all together so they can have some fun together for a few hours. At
the end of the scavenger hunt it will lead each people to their individual
better half's special evening.

I have my lady coming to a water front restaurant in time to watch the
sunset. Where we will enjoy dinner, live music and dancing for a few hours.
The place is a casual restaurant called the inlet harbor
http://www.inletharbor.com/restaurant.html. It is a nice restaurant that
has great ambiance, scenic views of birds, boats in the marina and there is
a nearby lighthouse in sight. Plus it is inside so we won't freeze our
butts off.

When she gets home there will be single rose on her pillow, Don't worry
furballs will not be in the bedroom to eat it
Inside the rose will be something similar to this http://tinyurl.com/93t68
. She love pink sapphires so I got a something a little special for her

So tell me ladies has this man done good or will it blow up in my face

wafflycat...
Nah... no effort at all gone into what you've planned. Sheesh... men!

Cheers, helen s :-Þ

Yoj...
Somehow I missed the original, and just now found your plan for the day,
Matthew. I wouldn't worry about it blowing up in your face, Matthew. In

NMR...
at least I planned only for about 2 months now

wafflycat...
Only two months? ;-)

Cheers, helen s

the first place, any woman who wouldn't appreciate what you have planned
belongs in an insane asylum. Besides, if she dumps you, You'll have women
in droves waiting to take her place. ;-)

Seriously, I'll bet she loves (loved) the whole day, and you.

meee...
That's lovely!!! I hope you have a most perfect day!!! You deserve it- she
must be a very special lady for you to go to all this trouble.

NMR...
Yes she is and she deserves it everyday

meee...
That's what my DH said!!! He said people should do nice things for each
other every day, not just one day in the year out of a sense of guilt! We
didn't do much...low on $$$ this week as he got injured the week before but
we'll surprise each other later!! Last time he surprised me it was with an
eternity ring!!! :)

jmcquown...
Too good to snip any bit of this! Marry Me! :D

djmaizels...
W.O.W. The breakfast alone is so yummy you may not make it out of bed to
enjoy the rest of the day! ;-)

wafflycat...
Maybe that's what he's hoping for ;-)

Cheers, helen s

jXwXeXrXmXoXnXt...
Wow, she's a lucky gal!! I like that you've planned a full day,
including social time with other couples, and fun stuff like a
scavenger hunt. Plus the romantic dinner for two at the end of
it. I don't think your lunch is a very *light* lunch, but who's
complaining? :) You're keeping her very well fed! :)

Hope you both enjoy the day,
