OT: 40 today

Well, here it is - the long awaited 40th! I had rather expected to be

Thank you Pam :-) The boys have 2 bare sibs. Jane will be almost 9 when
"junior" is born and Sam will be 6 1/2. By the time this one hits grade 1,
Sam will be in junior high school - they'll never even be at the same
school!!! Not bad when you consider that one of the mom's at the school has
a 23 year old *and* a 3 year old. Sort of took the wind out of my sails ;-)

Thank you Annie! This was my husband's idea and he invited them to come. I
think it will be neat to celebrate a 40th birthday with people who knew me
well at 16. Kind of reminds you of where you came from...

Happy Birthday!!

I'm going to bed after a meal out with Fred and the kids and will cuddle
with cats. I'm heading to Banff this weekend with some old friends who are
flying in for the occasion and I'm so excited I can barely stand it. I
haven't seen them for such a long time and they are very good friends.

Thank you Joyce - it's always fun to go to Banff! Among other things, we
will go to my favourite restaurant, a fondue house, that's got a fabulous
70's radio station. We always know all the words and reminisce about
growing up - which is perfect for a birthday reunion!

Oh, I love that kind of stuff. And fondue, yum!

Don't get trampled by any moose, though! :) (Or is it elk? I know there's
some sort of large ungulate that roams the streets of Banff, the town.)

Well, the ungulates have been moved out of town by the Parks department!
The elk and humans were not getting along very well so they've been trying
to ship them out. They're a little hard to regulate though :-)
