I have finally taken some pictures of Little Boy, processed them, and
put them in a web page so you can get a gander of this wonderfully
sweet cat who showed up on our doorstep during the big freeze we had
last month.
As I've mentioned, we haven't located his people, so we get to be the
recipients of his kitty kisses and all his cuddles.

Yep! He is beautiful! But I'm surprised at his coloring. I don't
know... somehow I was assuming he'd be an orange cat. :)

He looks very pleased with himself and his surroundings. I
think you were targeted.

What a handsome boy! Looks like a twin for our Cat Five :)
Saw on your page that you're working on his weight. Five plumped up on
free-feeding so her vet put her on Purina ONE weight management formula.
That helped some but we also increased her activity with some more play that
had food as an incentive. Instead of just measuring portions for her, we
measure than make her run after the kibble by tossing it so he has to move
to get it. We even toss kibble down the stairs and she runs for it. Another
thing we did is set up a cardboard copy paper box in the living room and
tossed kibble into it, making her jump into the box to get the food. She
gradually lost 2 pounds and is now down to a reasonable (for her) 10-1/2 lb
and she's maintaining. She's also able to run rather than walk, and leaps
up the levels of her cat tree in the blink of an eye.
When we have to free-feed, we make her work for her food. We took an empty
tube from a roll of toilet paper, taped one end completely closed and the
other end mostly closed. Then we put some of her measured kibble into the
opening and she has to bat it around to knock out the pieces. She plays
with that more than she did with the rubber ball treat dispenser. Perhaps
the kibble toss may help Little Boy too.
