Baha via CatKB.com...
Last September my baby girl Brandy had to have several teeth extracted due
some bizarre gingival abcess, and now has to have daily toothbrushing with
squirts of this kitty mouthrinse every other day or so. She's very good for
the brushing, which just astounds the vet; she told us that most cats prefer
the rinse, and that the brushing should be the every other day and gave us an
A+ for out Bit's daily dental. But the rinse, now... I never figured Brandy
was the most resourceful of cats, but when she sees Louie with the bottle
she's found remarkable ways and places to ditch herself; and for one who
isn't particularly graceful, has learned to get herself into places we just
can't reach without help from the fire department.

A month or so ago I had an appointment with my friend and dentist Eric, who
told me I had gingival evil going on. Didn't need 7 extractions, but he did
give me The Rinse Of Doom. This foul-tasting concoction could make gasoline
on the rocks a nice refreshing drink. Now i wish I could crawl into that
reeeeaaaally high closet shelf that I never thought Brandy could reach. My
dear Little Bit, I finally understand you!!!

Doh! Purrs for both of you.

Best wishes to you and the cats with the dental work. What rinse did he
give you? I have been given Peridex twice over the last few months -
which is a prescription dental rinse but it doesn't taste that bad. I
have had a lot of dental work done over the last few months and it's not
over yet. I have had two teeth pulled, several fillings re-done, and
caps put on. Later on this year I will have a dental implant put in.
We are just waiting for the bone graft to heal up first. Later on I will
need another bone graft will need to be done and more waiting for
healing before the implant can be put in. Hopefully the implant will be
in place and done before the end of this year.

Blessed be,
Baha
