Anyone who has sent e-mail to me recently, I'm not ignoring you, really! I
use my work mail server to handle my outgoing e-mail, and it died this
morning. I've got it rebuilt now to the point of accepting incoming
messages, it's just not allowing outgoing messages yet. That means I can
read e-mail sent to my catfolks.net and smurgle.net mailboxes, I just
can't reply to them.
Monday morning I warned the boss that the mail server had started sending
me error messages about the disk drives and I needed to do some
maintenance work. He said, "No, let's put that off a while. Continue
working on the web server transition." Ok, that's what I did. This morning
while I was driving in to the office the boss called and said "I can't
connect to the mail server." Surprise! Remember I warned you that it was
having problems and needed to be serviced? That's why!
2 of the 3 drives in the RAID array died. That means that we lost
everything that hadn't been backed up. I had to install new drives,
rebuild the operating system, reinstall the mail server software, and
reconfigure everything. ARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

ugh! I used to work for the same guy. They finally got rid of him.
When I tell my new boss I need to fix xyz she knows I aint fooling.
Funny thing is the last guy was all about our web transition also.

I wouldn't mind if that happened here, but since the boss owns the company
I won't hold my breath :(
