Purrs for evacuees

There's a big fire burning in the Orange County, California hills. It's
not threatening us here in Highland; the only effect it's had has been
closing the toll road I take home and making me take a long detour.

However, there is a mandatory evacuation order in effect for 1500
families. The good news is that they've made provisions to evacuate pets
as well. The Orange County Animal Shelter is providing short-term
evacuation care for dog and cats (and one would assume other small
animals), and another facility nearby is providing housing for horses.

Let's send up get-home-safe purrs for the hoomins and non-hoomins who have
to leave their houses tonight.

Absolutely. How scary. Lots of purrs coming over from our house in
England.

I'll add my purrs. And that is wonderful they are allowing evacuation
for the animals. Guess we learned something from Hurricane Katrina.
