My youngest (Koda) has been breaking her whiskers or something. I got
her when she was 10 weeks old and now she is about 7 months old. About
2 weeks after we got her, her whiskers started to "break". They break,
then they all grow back and are there for a few days and then they go
missing again except for about 1/8. It's a few whiskers on each side,
and the ends of them look like split ends. Should I be worried?

Is she Siamese? I remember reading somewhere that mother
Siamese often break off the whiskers of their "favorite"
kittens. (Why, who knows, but all cats are laws unto
themselves.)

Kreisleriana...
Sounds like over-enthusiastic grooming. ;)

I remember hearing a judge comment on broken whiskers at a cat show
once. He said it wasn't a factor for judging because it's so common in
the kitten class because of rough play. Kitten class, IIRC, was under 1
year. I remember Angel having broken whiskers all the time.

Karen...
I'd be a little concerned. Is there another cat in the house that could
be chewing them off?

Takayuki...
Since she's the youngest, I would also agree that it's likely to be an
older cat being a bit overzealous in grooming the whiskers.
