I've got a problem that's driving me nuts and am seeking suggestions for how
to solve it.

This summer it got so hot that I couldn't sleep at night. I ended up being a
complete night owl because the house was staying hot until dawn. Then I
would sleep until early afternoon. I haven't been able to break out of that
pattern! I'm wide awake until at least 4 AM every night and then don't wake
up until at least 11 AM and sometimes as late as 1-2 PM. I can't get much
done in the daytime this way because it always takes me at least 2-3 hours

Caffeine withdrawal is probably worse than trying to quit smoking. (which
I've tried twice.. no good) Headaches, nausea.. attitude!! Wow.. attitude!!
So.. if he's got the cojones to quit caffeine, all power to him. No way I'm
ever going to try it again. /shudder

I used to have at least two cups of coffee every morning when I was working,
by which I mean the last 23 years. Sometimes 3 or 4 if I brewed a small pot
at home to drink while I was getting ready for work. It didn't bother me in
the least to stop drinking the stuff. But then again, I don't like
chocolate and I've never been one to drink sodas, most of which contain
caffeine. I suspect such a severe withdrawal to caffeine indicates there
were other sources of caffeine coming into play throughout the day :) I do
agree, however, no caffeine in the evenings!

I'm a 5-6 cup of coffee, then tea, then a nip of chocolate.. ya, I'm a
caffeine addict. LOL!!


I'm in the don't take a nap camp, if at all possible.

No, never!! If I nap during the day, it's an all-nighter.

to feel awake enough to do much of anything.

Sunrise is my favorite time of day, and early morning is a close second. I
feel best when I sleep from 10 PM to 6 AM.

Please tell me: HOW can I get back to that schedule?
