Duke McAdow...
I'm still a new cat owner...I adopted two sister cats as kittens and
they are about 2-1/2 years old now.

One sister (the more submissive one) observes and mimics older cats in
the household to a remarkable degree (remarkable to me, anyway). I've
caught her carefully observing the older cat, and within a few weeks,
her meow and her behavior are almost identical to the older cat!

She has been around two adult females at different times in her life,
and I have observed it both times. I'm not sure how unusual this is.
She also managed to befried both of the adults, usually with playful,
kittenish behavior...one of the adults would even groom her
occasionally in a motherly way! I can't say the same for her more
assertive sister, though...if her path crossed too closely to one of
the adults, they would often end up in a hissing standoff until both
went trotting off in opposite directions, grumbling.

Welcome to the group! Are there any pics of your kitties that we could see?

Irulan...
LILY is a beeeyootiful name! I'm glad my Mama named me Lily. And all the
Lilys in this family are beeyootiful!
My Mama named me Lily from the character on COLD CASE. She is also
beeyootiful!

Lily (Maryland, USA)

Best wishes,

Welcome to the group! That doesn't sound familiar, but then again,
kittens do learn from their elders, whether they are their parents or
other cats who just happen to share the same home. Cats often groom each
other, but my Frank took it even further; when I brought home little
kitten Nikki, he didn't just groom her, he suckled her.
