Xoxo is officially old

Well, Xoxo is now a geezer. Officially. We got a mailing from TED saying
that now that he's over 7 years old (that's an estimate, he's probably
closer to 8 or 9), it's time for him to have an annual Senior Wellness
Exam. The mailing included a brochure with all kinds of information
regarding the various problems he is now facing as a Senior Cat. :(
The letter lists all the tests they will be performing, at the
reasonable cost of only $138 USD. Yikes! That's twice as much as the
regular annual examination. But we want to keep our Xoxo healthy and
happy for many, many more years, so I guess we'll bite the bullet.

Seven ... even eight and nine ... that doesn't sound old to me, for a
cat. I certainly can't imagine Oscar as approaching middle age
already ...

Soncek will be 7 yo in June and I just can't imagine calling him a
senior. We'll have to wait for that for a few more years.

That seems a lot of money, just for an examination. I still think our
clowders are worth every penny they cost.

I wish! Smokey's senior physical with lab work was about $280 (but we
*love* the vet so we're staying with him).
