I stripped the bed this morning and washed the sheets. While that was going
on, I got the other set of sheets out of the closet and put them on the bed.
She was snoozing in the closet so she didn't notice this until an hour or so
ago.

Persia is now esconced on the nice cool, fresh sheets I took out of the
closet with a look of great contentment on her face :)

Uh, but I still need to put the clean lightweight cotton blanket on the bed
and then the bedspread. We all know what that will mean! Battle Royale as
she leaps around while I try to get those items in place!

Oh, this reminds me of how Smudge loves (loved?) to dive under the
covers when I change the sheets. She usually has a very quiet purr,
so soft you can barely hear it, but when she's under the covers and
you pet her through the covers (ie, pet the covers, with her under
them), she purrs very loudly.

Still no sign of her. :(

Continued purrs and best wishes for Smudge to come home,

Still purring for Smudge to come home ASAP.

Something I've noticed is that *all* cats love clean things. Even the
shelter cats will knead and purr their bedding when it's freshly
washed. My own cats take a whole new interest in their purr pads & beds
when they're just off the clothesline.

Our owm Dammit Sam would sit each morning and watch Charlie shave and apply
after shave. Then Sam would move in to lick and bite him in the face.
