Oh, Shirley... I'm so sad to hear this. But you did the best for your boy,
and spared him a lot of agony. Candles will be lit here for his passage, and
the clowder will purr for your heartbreak to ease.

It wasn't renal failure but cancer after all.

I got up early this morning and went outside, the sun was shining and
PB bounced (I should have called him Tigger) down the garden to me. We
spent a quiet hour sharing cuddles and purrs in the sunshine.

and a good mommy, and best of all, he was loved. He was a lucky cat, and
you're a lucky human to have had him.

My heart hurts. :-(
