Mary Beth,
I didn't want to stick this in the Muttley thread.
I wish there was something I could write to make the whole thing with
Rudy easier. These times so suck.

Mary Beth...
Thanks Beth, and all who e-mailed me. :)

It's a tough one, as he's been with me thru so many ups and downs, for so
long. But on Sat. when I saw how much pain he was in, biting at me while I
tried to help him stand, and looking so mortified for doing so, I knew. It
really had been easier than I thought. And yet, he's fine now. :)

He's only scared me twice with the age related problems, and he's still
going strong. We're talking to the vet about upping to the Metacam shots. He
has had problems with his liver levels, when he was DX'ed with mast cell,
but with the SAM-e, they fell to normal fairly quickly, both Kip and I were
surprised. I know the Metacam isn't great on the liver, to say the least, a
bit better than Rimadyl, Kip thinks, and so it's that time, gotta decide
about quality of life vs. quantity......

If he can be like this on the shots, we'll have plenty of good quality
things and time to do them. Heh.

He is prone to pancreatitis, (oddly, so am I now! ), and he can't eat
pork. We fed him sausage croissants on Sat afternoon. Good thing we didn't
ever do it! He'll get in some swimming days, and all the walks and rides he
so loves, from now until.....

God has blessed the BOTH of us with each other for so long, I know sincerely
that I am luckier than many, and I am so very grateful for this. :)

Thanks again Beth, and Janet and everyone else, who is thinking of us!

We're very happily *madly* in love, still,

Rudy and MaryBeth , like he
doesn't already know he comes after Rudy in my heart and soul, heh>
