Lassie Jr

I have been very sick for the past 2 days and mostly unable to talk, had no
way to get anyone's attention if I needed help. Just for kicks, I told Maui
(who refused to leave my side the entire time I was sick) "find Grandpa". I
wondered if Maui would be able to get my dad's attention so that he would
come and check on me. Anyway, Maui reluctantly left the room and came back
a few seconds later. My dad soon followed asking me if I sent Maui to him.
I nodded yes and asked why. He told me that Maui came out to him, licked
his hand and then waited for a few seconds before leaving. That's when my
dad decided to follow him to my room. It was a very good thing Maui knew
what I meant because I used that command several times a day when I needed
help. All in all, Maui got my dad's attention about 8-9x out of 10. It was
great, I felt like I had my very own Lassie.

Cali, on the other hand, couldn't really be bothered with my being sick.
She just wanted to run around and play. In the end, I do think she
understood though because after I passed out in hall, I woke to her licking

my face. Luckily Maui was outside when it happened. I can only imagine
what he would have done but I think it would have really bothered him to see
me like that.
