Tal Amir...
we have a 9 months old vizsla\pitbill. he has a lot of energy
(obviously) and since we work long hours he spends a lot of time on his
own. we keep him seperated from the rest of the house (in the kitchen)
when we're out because he chews on EVERYTHING. will bringing a new
friend make things better ? will they play, and therefor he will NOT
want to trash the house since he's board, or will they just party
together and make an even bigger mess ?

Janet B...
bingo! never get another dog to "solve" another dog's problems,
Training, appropriate confinement, maturity - but not another dog to
help in destruction.

Paula...
The phrase "partner in crime" comes to mind! :) I swear, two dogs
can dream up far more than twice as much trouble as one dog can!

diddy...
Definitely the PARTY is ON!!!!!!!!!!

When I walk my dog in my neighborhood, and pass by houses with 2 dogs
during the day, if them barking their fool heads off and scratching at
the front windows doing god knows what damage to the walls and sills
inside as we pass by is any indication, the option above appears to be
at the very least possible, if not probable.

Crating, someone to visit/walk the dog during the day, doggie day care
(yer right about the expense here--yowsa), or placing the dog in
another home appear to be the shortlist of options. Obedience
training is of course a fabulous foundation before any of these.
