Suja...
I don't know why, but I was always under the impression that dogs knew
(learned at some point in their lives) that they're less likely to get into
trouble if they do something bad when people are not around instead of when
people are around. Khan clearly never received that memo/life lesson.

I have a bad habit of leaving open bags of garbage on the floor. For
instance, I'd start cleaning, take a garbage bag and start throwing stuff in
it. If I'm not done cleaning and the bag is not full, I'll just leave it
until I'm either done or it's full. Either way, they'd sit there for a
couple of days sometimes. So, yesterday morning, I hear the scrunching of
plastic bag, and watch as Khan goes in there, picks up the empty egg carton,
brings it right over to his towel and settles in next to it. I asked him
what he thought he was doing, and he gives me his biggest smile, and tries
to convince me that he was just going to take a nap, right next to the
carton.

So, I put the thing back and tied up the bag, but still didn't toss it.
Then last night, as I was shutting down the computer, I hear more plastic
scrunching noises, and watched as he carried the garbage bag delicately by
its handle, brought it over to his towel and dropped it. At that point, he
saw me, turned around and settled down next to the garbage bag, with his
back to it. 'Take that, you eeevil garbage bag, I didn't want you anyway'.
I decided at that point to not tempt fate too much and threw it out.

That boy is such a dork. If he wanted to, he could've done this when no one

ceb...
I like to refer to this in the Queener as "a complete lack of guile."
Frequently expressed to her as "Can you NOT see that I am STANDING here???"

Mary Healey...
He's a gem. A delightful gem.

Suja...
A gem of a dork. He's certainly "special".

was home, but as a general rule, he only tries stuff when his people are

Terri...
This is the D'oh! I R DUM stuff Mojo had that I adored so much.
I love these Khan stories of yours.
(It's pure good acting skills.)

Mary Healey...
He's actually conducting field tests on the variance in human tolerance for
canine misbehavior.

tj.palvino...
Ha!!
I love this phrasing...I'm gonna steal it ....ok?

Suja...
I could almost believe that. If it weren't for such incidents as his
attempt to get into the car *through* the closed door, and then being
thoroughly puzzled about why he could get in all the previous times, just
not this one.

Khan, the Human Whisperer!

Suja...
Heh. Although he's more bulldozer than cat burgler, I suspect that he
considers himself all stealthy. As a friend of mine said, 'He doesn't even
have the good sense to act all guilty' when he's caught. It's a good thing
he's so cute.

home.

Shelly...
Khan is my kind of dog. That's *exactly* the sort of thing Elliott
would've done. I cannot count the number of times he reduced me to
tears of laughter at his dumbassedness. I'm glad to see that Khan
is keeping the tradition alive.

Handsome Jack Morrison...
Suja, I think there's at least some chance that we'll get to see you
and Khan on Millan's show one day. :D
