That's all anyone needs to read to see what a discusting piece of human
garbage Howe is. Thanks for making that crystal clear, AssHowe.

What do you think of your hero now, Jerry sock puppets? (You know who
you are)

Dear Jerry,

And how will you be remembered at rpdb? What will people
say? What will they do on reading of your death?

Good grief Jerry,
The time when a person dies is not the time to dance on their grave.
Looking through any person's life one can see the mistakes and the
treasures. We all have a shadow self. How does it help your cause in
promoting your manual and non violence to spit on the grief of a
departed soul's relatives and friends?
I never met you Avrama Gingold, I pray that you are in the arms of Love
Divine.
Best wishes to the family and friends of this child of God who died a
tragic death.
Condolences,
Show Dog Bark

Surely there must be somebody out there in usenet who could talk to
you about what to do when your Mac automatically cross posts. Have
you tried alt.religion.kibology for help?

You should be ASHAMED for resurrecting her name here abHOWETS.

Yes, I have read Jerry's "manual" thoroughly, and have
yet to find anything NEW and useful in it. Some ideas
are valid; they are not exactly novel with Jerry.

All that is special is his claim of originality. His
advice on the newsgroup, if the word advice is used
loosely, is not merely poor, it is dangerous.

I've read the "manual" regurgitated by the soi-disant
dog trainer, the admittedly witless Jerry Howe, and a
more irrational load of garbage I have never seen, mixed
in with carelessly copied bits and pieces of plagiarism.

The danger of Jerry's constant ranting is that the neophyte
might just possibly believe he has something to say besides
self-aggrandizing irrationality.

Hey Downtown,

This was disappointing. I thought you were going to explain
what advice of Jerry's was so dangerous. I'm not exactly in
love with this guy's style, and I'm still trying to figure
out what Smith or Hassan has ever posted (speaking strictly
training advice) that would warrant Jerry's comments on their
training tactics (Whatever horrible things they're doing,
they're certainly not talking about it.), but where, avrama,
do you see Jerry giving out "dangerous" training advice?

You recommended Robin Kovary as a trainer, avrama. You
suggested a woman purchase and read a dominance manual.

I've spent the last several months here explaining why I
thought certain training models were toxic. I've gone well
beyond any obligation I may have had to explain my position.

Ludwig has even suggested that I may have gone too far.

That may be the case, but I ask you now to please explain
what you mean when you say that Jerry Howe's advice is
dangerous.

Also, please cut and paste, on this ng, the plagariazed
passages from his manual you refer to in your post. If
possible, include the names of the original authors.

I would also be interested, although your statements in no
way obligate you to oblige me, if you could find one or more
original thoughts on training or dog behavior posted in this
forum, by anyone other than Jerry Howe, the-master222, or myself.

There may very well be some, but I have yet to discover them.

particularly Dobermans, here.

I just google her name and see that the news of her
death was already posted on rec.pets.dogs.behavior.

Avrama so loved her new Doberman, Baruch, that she kept
a diary. Here is "Diary of Doberkid #21."

*******************************************************

What a wonderful present I got today! (Well, the rest of the city got it
also, but I'm the one who had the most fun.) It snowed, and snowed some
more. When we went out this morning, very early, big soft flakes were
falling out of the sky. I opened my eyes SO wide, because I'd never seen
anything like this. And it didn't feel like (excuse the dirty language)
rain, but was soft, and I could catch it in my mouth.

Later in the afternoon, we went out again, and the snow was still there,
only it was on the ground. There were big piles of snow between the
sidewalk and the gutter, which was a bit of a problem, because I couldn't
find the curb. So I waited until Avrama said "good gutter," and figured I
was "in the gutter" and could go. I must have been correct, because then
Avrama took me into our little park, and that's when I knew all the snow was
a present especially for me.

It was wonderful. The snow had piled up, so it was really deep. (Avrama
says there was only 12" or so, but the wind had made some of the piles
higher, up to my belly.) It was deep, and soft, and so much fun to run
around in, digging with my nose and with my paws. The most fun was when I
found a really deep drift, and ran right through it, so I jumped up from
under the snow and surprised Avrama. She really jumped when I poked her in
the neck with my nose. Some little people puppies were in the park making a
snowman with their parents, and when they saw I was friendly (I gave one
little girl kisses through the fence), they came into the fenced-in part
where I play, and played with me. They threw a funny kind of ball for me to
catch. They were called "snowballs," but I could never find them once they
reached the ground. Still, I dug down in the snow and found a real ball
that someone had lost, and brought it to the children to throw for me until
it got lost again.

The only thing missing was Penny. I can't wait until she comes home. Every
night at the usual time I start nudging Avrama to take me to see Penny, but
she doesn't. Yesterday, when we went to the vet we passed Penny's house,
and I pulled Avrama into the lobby. (Heel, schmeel--I want my Penny!) The
doorman petted me, and gave me a biscuit, but said that Penny and her person
weren't back yet. I waited for the elevators to come down, but even though
I looked carefully, the people were just strangers. I hope there is still
snow on the ground in the park when Penny comes back; we could have so much
fun racing there.

The streets are funny with all the snow. The sidewalks have solid snow, and
Avrama keeps slipping and telling me to walk "slowly, slowly." Is it my
fault if she can't balance when I pull her along? There are hardly any cars
in the streets, just some big funny trucks with a kind of scoop in front of
them. Whenever they pass, the piles of snow alongside the street and
covering the curb get bigger. Some parts of the sidewalk are clear of snow,
but have a white stuff that smells like big pieces of salt. Avrama makes me
walk around them, and walk in the snow drift when she sees it. I thought
she was being silly, until I stepped on some where I had a scratched pad.
Ouch! I guess she was right and I shouldn't have licked off the Musher's
Secret on my foot.

One more thing I found very odd. Although I wasn't wearing my coat, I was
very comfortable all the time I was playing and running. When we finally
left the park, suddenly while we waited for the street light to change, I
felt cold. That's why when we got home, I jumped onto the bed and snuggled
into the blanket there.

I don't care what anyone says, and I don't believe the snow is frozen rain.
I HAD FUN!

Baruch

P.S. Oh, someone told me that tomorrow is a special night, and the day after
tomorrow will be a new year. So, to everyone reading this, have a very happy
new year, and may all your dogs be happy and healthy.

Finally, her is a note from Avrama's cousins regardng remembering
Avrama.

_______________________________________________________

Dear Friends and Relatives of Avrama:

Most of you probably know by now that our cousin, Avrama Gingold, died at
Calvary Hospital in the Bronx recently, of lung cancer. We were saddened
that she had suffered so much, but after she was transferred to Calvary she
was much more comfortable. She had no immediate family, but a wide circle
of friends, especially by phone and on the internet, and some cousins. We
are setting up a memorial gathering for those family and friends who would
like to get together to remember and mourn her. It will be at the apartment
of cousins Julie and Neal Gantcher (101 W. 12th St., Apt. 5T, New York, NY
10011) on Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at 7 p.m. Anyone who would like to share
memories, photos, etc. is most welcome to do so.

We are not sure if we have reached all who would like to know about the
death or come to the gathering. Please spread the word to friends and
neighbors who knew her; there were some people she was involved with,
especially about dogs (esp. dobermans) for several decades, others she knew
from graduate school, her time in Israel or her professional services
copy-editing and typing, and so on.

Several people have asked about being able to make a donation to some
charity in Avrama's honor; it is clear that she would have appreciated a
dog-related (especially doberman-related) donation; her good friend Joanna
Walker, a doberman pinscher expert, recommends Pilot Dogs, Inc. of Columbus
Ohio; it trains dobermans as guide dogs for blind persons.

Please respond to us if you will come to the gathering on June 20 by sending
an email to us at gmlevitis@earthlink.net, or, if you are not on the web,
leave a brief telephone message (voice mail picks up after 6 rings) at
845-628-3809; please be sure to say how many people will be attending.

Thanks. I hope to meet you at the gathering.

Sincerely, Jerry and Karen Levitis
