Poop eating solution

While I believe in supervision and cleanup, there are also times when
it's pitch black outside, pouring rain, whatever, and it's just not
that simple. Plus, I prefer to break the habit entirely, as well as
do regular cleanup (I scoop 3-4x/day). Rudy came to me with this
habit, and we've managed it well, as he will call off of it
immediately and not do it when I'm out with him.

I started using something called "Foul Gas and Stool Deodorizer" -
tablets. Ingredients are pretty much the same in another product I
just came across - SEP (Stop Eating Poop) from Solid Gold. Yucca
seems to be the main active ingredient.

Anyway - it seems to be WORKING! A bottle of the tablets was $10.99
for 60. At 1 per day (for his weight range), that's pretty cheap to
deter this habit.

spend months trying different remedies for.

Yes, thanks for the tip. Does Rudy eat only his own poop? I thought
that usually one had to give all the dogs the anti-poop-eating
tablets. Still, at that price I think I could.

Interesting.

Before the tablets, I tried a pricier liquid (homepathic stuff) which
gets added to the water bowl. Maybe a better solution for a multiple
dog/poop thing.

Yeah, but apparently that didn't work, or you wouldn't have kept
looking. I'd just as soon spend the bucks on something that's been
successful for someone else. Just in case, though, what was the name
of the liquid?

Actually, it DID work, which is what convinced me. I had been told
about the tablets, but not gotten to a Petco yet. I was at the doggy
health food store and saw the liquid and decided to give it a try. The
price is what led me to get the tablets instead, after I drained the
bottle fairly fast (a capful for each bowl of water and these dogs can
drink some water!).

Interestingly, this liquid does not contin yucca, but I believe you
can google it and see the ingredients. It's by Natural Pet
Pharmaceuticals and called Foul Gas and Stool Relief. A 4 oz bottle

Thanks for the info. I just got a 10% off coupon from Petco in the
mail, so I think I'll go buy a couple of bottles of the tablets.
