kathleen spencer...
Hello All

I wonder if someone with access to the 1841 Census would assist with this
query ?

My ancestor was living in London 1841 and had a Chemist shop.

You'd probably do better to post this to soc.genealogy.britain or
Rootsweb's London list.

I have found his wife and two children listed in the Census
(Charlotte Ward 20, Charlotte 3, William 2) in Bishopgate Street, Parish of
St Ethelburga, which appears correct from other documents, along with two
females listed as F S which I have taken to be servants, along with a
shopman and a chemist apprentice.
Unfortunately the head of the house (John WARD) is missing.
I thought he might have been at the home of his father but this is not so,
according to the Census covering that area.

There are only two other addresses I have where he might have been.
At the home of his (presumably) mother-in-law
Charlotte Ward, 3 St Georges Place North Brixton
or
a property bequeathed to him and leased to a Mr Wright
9 Blackmore Street, Clare Market in the Parish Of Saint Clement Danes

Would appreciate any help with this.

Kate (Sydney, Australia)
