Hello from List Newbie

Hello. I'm from the West Coast of Canada and I'm just beginning to research
my Australian family connections. I'm and experienced researcher and have
spent have spent the last ten years following my families through the
British Isles, the West Indies, China and South Africa amongst other places.

At the moment I know of two Saunders lines and a Burton line . One Saunders
line arrived in the 19th century and one in 1949 (my uncle Arthur), Unknown
Burton went to Moreton Bay about 1860 with his wife Hephzibah (sic) and
their seven children. I am writing the history of the Saunders family and

Pretty sure tThey came here with 2 children, George ,5
& William F ( poss Francis) 1 on the ship Parsee in 1853
to Moreton Bay ( Brisbane)

immigration , which is down towards the end of the list >
assisted passengers to Moreton Bay ( The State Of
Queensland didnt happen till 1860 so before that records
are in with NSW records )

Had 5 more chn b in Qld but 2 died ( see file
attachment sent seperately)

Your missing males first name was Stephen ....... He was
43 in 1853 He died in Qld 1867 son of John & Elizabeth
nee COOPER . Hephibah BURTON d 1868 dau of Francis

already know the facts about the the 1949 Saunders.

I know very little about Australian genealogy and probably half of that is
wrong. My intent is to lurk in the background of this list, watch and learn,
but can SKS soul suggest where I might find a newbie guide for Australian
