Ray Hayes...
I am researching various related DEACON families, including the
descendants of William Archer DEACON who arrived in South Australia in
1836 on the "Africaine".

Two of his sons, Edwin and Firmin, later came out too, but his wife and
daughters remained in England.

I have basic family details including information from a small book
privately published by Catherine Deacon in 1899 and a small publication
on William Archer DEACON published by the Pioneer Association of South
Australia in 1948. The latter document refers to letters of W A D then
held by his grandson William James DEACON who died in 1973.

I would love to make contact with any related researchers and/or people
who may have information on related families.
