Melbourne Directories - lookup Whiteford

I have seen the postings requesting lookups on these directories and would
appreciate if I could have one done also.

I am looking for James Whiteford. I have a sort of a diary from his son who
was born in Richmond in 1854. He says his father was a builder. James, was
listed as journeyman mason on the 1851 Campbeltown Scotland Census, the year
before he migrated to Melbourne. The family was in Melbourne in 1852 and
James died in 1902.

I know the family moved to Gardiner's Creek, later Malvern. They had a
property on the corner of Wattle Tree and Glenferrie Sts.

I would be very appreciative of any assistance in regards to this.

Wises Post Office Directory ( not sure of years)Long time since used
myself.

Available S.L. of Victoria & ODD copies at bigger Genie & Council
libraries ( Parkdale for one ).Hard copy.
Also on Fiche in same ( or some).
If you are Interstate or UP Country perhaps not so convenient.
So state your location.
