Fremantle Newspapers 1944, Obituaries?

Hi Listers,

Were there any Fremantle Newspapers in 1944? Or if not what was
the Perth newspaper of the time? Are they online and searchable
for an obituary, or could SKS do so if they have access please?
I am looking for an obituary for George Andrew Love, who died
on the 25th June, 1944 in Fremantle. It is possible that an obit was
put in by the Fremantle Lumpers Union as his grave at the
Fremantle cemetery was paid for by them.

Any help greatly appreciated.
