Hi Everyone,
I am trying to date two saddles in a museum collection, made by
J.LOONEY, 10 Bourke St, Melbourne.

There was a J.J.Looney, Saddler at 383 Bourke Street. Melb. in the 1904
directory.

Linda,
Forgot to mention in other mess.
Bottom end of Bourke Street seems more like a TRADE area,
whereas the top end the white collar.

I wonder if there is anyone out there with access to any Sands and
McDougalls directories, or other directories, that can help me?
Unfortunately I am about three hours drive away from any reasonable
collections that would let me get a look.
Needless to say - any contact from family members would be welcome as
well, to learn more of the maker. They are both rather beautiful
women's side saddles.
