Query about current Australian Electoral Rolls for research

Are the current electoral rolls on the net at all. Is there a full
Australia wide one or are they done by each state.
A friend in NZ is trying to locate someone.

Hi Vicki,

As Marg says, Electoral Offices hold current electoral rolls for that
state on a computer file - but unlike Marg, the Victorian office where
I sometimes drop in has no interest at all in who I am looking up, nor
who I am. A State Library would give a wider range of state rolls to
examine.

MargM is correct, you can access the electoral rolls in each state.

Someone tried to emulate the UK Info Disk produced by i-CD publishing
but was prevented from selling the software by court order.
