BDM UK

Can someone advise of a way to locate BDM's in UK using the internet. How
does one search for mariages etc - we are very lucky to have so much free
info available in NSW

I presume you are referring to 1837 onwards ??

is a good place to search - it is a transcription but is not yet
complete - many years / decades are complete - check for information for
coverage charts

Ancestry also have access to the FreeBMD data - their copy may not be
fully up to date - BUT their search is fast.

This also has access to Images on GRO index 1937-1983 from which FreeBMD
has been transcribed.

All the both are free to view.

Many other sites offer access to GRO index at various fees
