I am looking for information on Cornelius Van Riper Van Roden ( listed as an
undertaker-h 115 E. 51st. St. New York in and around 1880).

His son, my mother's grandfather, was William Dewitt Van Roden (Vanroden).
He was born in New York around 1865 and died in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada
on May 28, 1954. His daughter, Mary Louise Van Roden, is my maternal
grandmother.

If you have any information on any of these persons, please let me know. I
have completed my family tree for my father's side of the family, and now am
working on my mother's side.

I am not sure if Cornelius was born in the Netherlands or his father was
(name uknown).

According to the 1880 US census, both Cornelius and his parents were born
in New Jersey. Cornelius was born in 1831, wife is Isabella, 2 sons, 4
census)
I will see, whether I can get some info from earlier census, when I get
to the library again (where they have a subscription to Ancestry.com)
