Andrew Sellon...
I am NOT suggesting that astrology is in any way comparable to DNA
testing, but there may be those who might like to consider it as an
alternative. This is a snippet I read on another list:

"I have been a practising astrolger since 1979. I have cast charts for
up to four succesive generations of the same bloodline and found that
some planetary arrangements are repeated down through the bloodlines. I
have therefore concluded that astrology is genetic."

Hugh Watkins...
no it is babylonian

and look what happens there

Jeff...
I await Roy's response with interest!

Richard van Schaik...
You could respond yourself to this.

Jeff...
I could but I am both less eloquent & less entertaining than Roy.

Richard van Schaik...
So you are dependent on some "more entertaining figure" ......... I
don't think Roy likes this as a description of himself.

Jeff...
Not in the least dependent.

I enjoy Roy's contributions (with which I often disagree)

Richard van Schaik...
I agree a very nice story. (See below) with an entertaining conclusion.

I suggest you leave it to Roy to state what descriptions of himself he
likes or dislikes. He most certainly doesn't need a surrogate!

As it happens I read Roy's comments on here and in the Watford Observer.
I DO find them entertaining. Also thought provoking, sometimes astute,
sometimes amusing, sometimes annoying, sometimes downright infuriating
but usually engrossing & entertaining. More importantly written with
clarity & wit.

Accepting someone else expresses thoughts more effectively than I do,
doesn't amount to dependence.

Richard van Schaik...
I learned at least from this post that I should sit more often on my
fingers to refuse them the possibility to type OT answers.

Lesley Robertson...
I love it!
Of course, there is a potential explanation - I've noticed that a lot of
farm-related people seem to have had namy of their kids in the spring -
possibly after a good Harvest celebration, and many astrological postitions
are at least partly season-related.... I suppose it just depends where you
look for your explanations.

bg998...
What can any thinking, polite person possibly say to such a conclusion?

Alison Kilpatrick...
...

Hehe. Nicely done, Roy.

Cheers,
Alison

Thanks to Andrew for relaying that gem of a snippet.

Allen...
Well, they could have replied "perhaps a _belief_ in astrology is
genetic". Personally, I think the misspelling in the heading describes
astrology.
