Hello. I'm new to this group and would welcome any advice.
My grandfather has always been a total mystery - he was never
mentioned in the family. I believe he came from Scotland and would have
been born around 1880-85. I know that in Feb 1918 he was resident at
the Co-operative Society's Abbotsview Convalescent Home, Galashiels and
that in the early 20's he was a Lecturer at The Technological Institute
of Great Britain, 231 Strand London. Other than that his life is a
blank. We don't even know his date of birth.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
