I have got a Florence SMITH born (09 Aug 1881) on her birth
certificate she is born to a George SMITH and Emma BUSBY
I have found her in 1891, generic searches might be slow and time
consuming, but they do help
She was logged as Flory SMITH

So what's your question or point, exactly? Or is there one?
Peter Smith...

There is no question, there is no oblique request hidden in this
statement. I'm not asking anyone to do anything for me.
In May I asked for advice about Florence Smith and how I should go
about my search after spending many an hour on 1837. I was given so
tips and advice (C rhian and others helped). I'm just stating that I
have now found her

Ah! Now had you said that (or followed up your last posting if it
still existed) we would not have been in the dark. Your next puzzle is
possibly going to be which version of the name she was married as.
Peter Smith...
|
I know what she was called when she got married for the second time,
but not the first :(

Well done. I'm glad you've found her at last, and I hope that the new
names will make it easier to track the family.

The parents come from two places I didn't expect, Banbury/Adderbury
and Hartwell. The BUSBY's from Adderbury should be a nice line to
follow

|
That's it

On the 1901 census there are 190 Florence Smiths listed with an exact
age of 20.

That demonstrates how difficult it can be to find the right Florence Smith,
especially if Florence is spelt a different way.
It can take a lot of perseverance to find SMITHs.It can be like looking
for a needle in a haystack at times.

One of my other lines is SHERRIFF, which I have found as
SHERRIFF, SHERIFF, SHERRIF, SHERIF, SHERREFF, SERRIFF, SERIF (I
thought this was a font), SHRIVE, SHERRIEFF, SCHRIVE,
These become problematic when looking for certificates

Best wishes
