Hi Marianne and C.Watters.
How are you.
I would like to say thank you for the information that you have sent me.
I wrote before and it came back to me so this is the way only to write back.
Marianne is there a mention of Sarah Middleton sister, please.

CWatters...
found mention of a brother...not that it helps any.

[58] Harley's second wife, Sarah, daughter of Simon Middleton, of Edmonton,
and sister of Sir Hugh Middleton, Bart. She died, without issue, in 1737.

there must be some info about her, question, she might have died soon after the birth of the child Esq Thomas Harley, b: 1693 or something.
C.Watters, would it be possable if you can find it for me also please.

CWatters...
Sorry I can't offer to trawl through the National Archive for you (Im trying
to build a house) but I do think it might be worth a look at whats there.

Access2archives also finds a lot of papers related to Sir Robert.

...and this one looks a bit odd...

"Portland of Welbeck (6th Deposit): Deeds and Estate Papers
Catalogue Ref. 157 DD/6P"
BILLS AND RECEIPTS FOR WELBECK
FILE [no title] - ref. DD/P/6/7/10/6 - date: 1675
"Receipt of money to be paid to Dame Edith Harley, widow of Sir Robert
Harley, decd"

That implies she survived him! That seems to conflict with Wikipedia which
says....

He married, in May 1685, Edith, daughter of Thomas Foley, of Witley Court,
Worcester. She died in November 1691. His second wife was Sarah, daughter of
Simon Middleton, of Edmonton."

Charani...
Bear in mind that Wikipedia entries are submitted and can be edited by
anyone. It's very useful but it's probably wise not to take the
information therein as gospel, especially in a case like this where
there are estate papers that indicate to the contrary.

That Book that Val Walsh wrote I am going to order that, it is at the main Library at Canberra n.s.w.
Thank you again for you help.
From Annette.
