For I had promised to donate the tenner to the Sally Ann for whom it was
indeed unfortunate.

Perhaps it was Providence that bumped me into a chap in a macintosh this
morning, for beneath his mac I saw the letter "S" on the lapels of his
jacket. I explained my promise and added that although it had not been
shown, I felt obliged to give the Salvation Army the tenner anyway. He
thanked me and said it would be put to good use in their funds.

Just thought I'd let you know.
