Carol King...
I am trying to trace my grandfather's family history.
His name was CHARLES MICHAEL CONRAD. Born 1883 (Probably in Luxembourg?)
His parents names were JAQUES CONRAD AND CATHERINE CONRAD (Nee SHONI)
He had a sister Sophie Anna (or Anna Sophie) born 1885
Sophie Conrad married Remy Bouschbacher in London and Charles Michael Conrad

C Rihan...
In case you don't already have this
the marriage of Remigius Bouschbacher and Anne S. Conrad
was registered in Lambeth in the June qtr 1912.

and Charles Michael Conrad

married Annie Campbell in Edinburgh (1908)
I believe Charles Michael Conrad lived in Luxembourg and moved to England
(London) in the early 1900s before moving to Edinburgh (Where I still live)

C Rihan...
If you think the move was before the 1901 census, then it would be
worth looking for them on that.
(Or if they had relatives already there, you might find them)

Best wishes
C.Rihan

Charles Michael Conrad was a chef and he died when he was only 39 or 40
years old.
I have very few old documents and none of them state the birth place of
Charles Michael Conrad or Sophie Anna Conrad.
One photograph postcard I have has a FORBACH address on the back (see
attached). Do you know anything about the address or the names I have
mentioned.
I would be grateful for any help you can give me as I am having great
difficulty in knowing where to search next.
Thanking you in anticipation.

Simon Pugh...
If he was naturalised you might find a record of him at The National
Archives under Nationality and Naturalisation, HO144. You can search on
line but you have to visit to see the documents.
