Can anyone help, please?
I'm anxious to undertake research into the Polish side of my family - Jeff...
research into the past, but also into the possible existence of distant relatives who may still be alive and resident in Poland now. There are no relatives or contacts in the UK who might be able to offer leads; I have no knowledge of the Polish language and thus would find Polish archives difficult to explore. All I have to go on are copies of the War Records of a close relative who served with the British Forces from about 1940 and who returned to Poland and obscurity in 1948, plus a few letters written by him to another member of my family during those years. I therefore need to discover: 1. Are there any English-language Polish archives to be found on the Web? mlou1173...

2. If I should seek to engage the services of a professional genealogist - English speaking, but presumably based in Poland - how best should I find such a person and judge his/her suitability to my requirements? Any ideas? |
