GKM...
I got a report thatt someone I was looking for was born in Wakefield. Is

GKM...
Helen: Thanks. You are so right. I didn't know. Now I do. However, it
may be of some use. I have contact with a guy there who may be (though I
doubt it!) the grandson of the lady I am searching for! I await some

Charani...
Why do you doubt it??

details from him about her, details which would enable me to decide whether
she is the right person or not.

that far from Birmingham from the vicinity of which I am under the
impression that she came? Pardon my lack of knowledge of English geography!
All I remember about Wakefiels is that a "Vicar" came from there! (The
Vicar of Wakefield)

A. Gwilliam...
Wakefield's in Yorkshire, whilst Birmingham was in Warwickshire. Not
close at all.

Roger Mills \(aka Set Square\)...
Have you considered the possibility that there may be more than one Mary
Lacy?

GKM...
Roger: Thanks for the suggestion. Yes I have. But I have reason to think

Helen Cushion...
think

that the Birmingham area one may be the right one.(Initials.) I intend to
research the matter some more on 1837... when I get home in a few days.
Curious that Friendsreunited did not seem to know about the one I found near
Birmingham.

Charani...
Friendsreunited is only any good if people put their contact details
on the site. It won't know about anyone whose details have not
submitted.

Also bear in mind that your Mary Lacy might have married and the one
you've found may not be the right one. She'd be 75/76 now and, if
she's the wrong one, you may frighten her. She could be in poor
health too.
