seeking information on a Padraigh (Patrick) Mardell, who was a Lt.

Colonel in the Enniskillen Dragoon Guards in WW2.

Sometimes he used
the name
Charles. I understand the home address at that time was 22 Ashdown
Crescent.

What & where are records (on line) that I could check for my friend

resource for survivors that I know of is the London Gazette archive
database at

An officer's initial commission, most of his promotions, and usually
the relinquishment of his commission will have been be announced in
the London Gazette.
