I'm trying to find a copy of a marriage from the IGI...
Richard Bowker married Susannah Weaver
9 Jul 1797
Old Church, Saint Pancras, London
I would like to know what Richard's occupation was
and may be see their signatures so I can tell if they
were my ancestors.
I can't go in person to London record offices - I live in
the north of England - but when I phoned the London
Metropolitan Archives they said it would be £8.75 to
send me one printout from microfilm! They said Camden
Library may do it cheaper but when I phoned them they
said they don't have the microfilm.
Does any one know of anywhere cheaper to find a copy?

Through your local Family History Centre. As you've found them on the IGI,
make a note of the film number and get the FHC to order it in for you. Not
sure what the charge is now but it will be less than half the LMA charge.

The Registers of St Pancras Old Church have been filmed by the LDS, so your
nearest Family History Centre can order the films for you. Marriage
registers at that date did not specify occupations, but you should get
signatures (or marks) and witnesses (though these may not be relatives).

Although St Pancras Old Church did register occupations in the baptismal
registers in the 1840s at least. You might get lucky.
